is a landscape design studio based out of Sacramento, California. Our mission is to re-establish the connection between people and Pachamama (Earth Mother) through native plants.

At Prado [prah-doh] + Jardín [hahr-deen], we believe that nature is the ultimate source of inspiration for design. We learn from Pachamama’s (Earth Mother) wisdom and carefully weave them into each garden we create, aiming to address critical ecological issues like climate change and biodiversity loss. By embracing California native plants in your landscape, you can contribute to a movement that transforms how we live and interact with our environment.
Our Approach
01 Onsite Consultation
To begin, we ask that you complete a short questionnaire on our contact page. After that, we’ll reach out to arrange a 1-hour onsite consultation. Following our discussion, we’ll draft up a proposal for the design, which you can expect within about a week.
02 Concept Design
After we finalize the contract, we will create a Concept Design Package that aligns with your project goals and outlines the overall landscape vision. This package, essentially a look book for your project, will be presented to you virtually.
03 Final Drawings
Next, we incorporate your feedback from the presentation into a computer-generated drawing set, which includes a greater level of detail and specificity. The set is prepared to facilitate a streamlined bidding process from a contractor(s).
04 Construction Planning
We can then recommend local contractor(s) with experience in installing native landscapes. Additionally, we are available to answer any questions from the contractor(s) and provide feedback on their bids.
05 Onsite Layout
Once you’ve selected a contractor, we’ll work together seamlessly to guide the site layout, plant placement, and address any challenges that may arise. Our collaborative support throughout the installation process will help bring your design vision to life, ensuring everything goes smoothly.
